if the poem fits…

lace sensor dress

Anja Hertenberger and Meg Grant are artists exploring the boundaries between textiles, technology and poetry. In their recent series, the Lace Sensor Dress collection, they have created custom-made conductive lace and crocheted tiny speakers into dresses that are embroidered with poems sourced from antique embroidery samplers.

When the wearer presses on the sensor in a gesture that relates to the content of the poem, a recording of the poem is played through the speakers. Watch the video and learn more about the project and the poems here.
