December 4, 2014

translation by Seamus HeaneyTime to dust off the chain mail, raise a bowl of mead and join in a marathon reading of the entire text of Beowulf as translated by Seamus Heaney. Readers will take turns in 5- to 10-minute increments until every monster is vanquished, every hero glorified, hard-earned harmony restored. Everyone is welcome; no experience necessary.

This mighty event will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Honey Moon Mead & Cider in Bellingham, Washington, starting at 7:00pm. Come listen or sign up to read by calling (360) 734-0728 or emailing More event info on Facebook.
