Whether you’re looking for a prompt, a task-specific word or just something new for your vocabulary to chew on, check out A.Word.A.Day (AWAD). Subscribe and a word will drop into your email box each day, or you can visit and browse. This week’s theme offers words related to books.

AWAD has been word-a-daying since 1994 (you do the math) and the Archives are a trove of wonderful language. There’s also a Search function and an alphabetical list (just what you need for those abecedarian poems!).

Visually simple and exceedingly well-organized, AWAD is just one of the wordy projects of Wordsmith.org, who also bring you the fabulous Internet Anagram Server. To find out more, watch a KING5 interview with Wordsmith’s founder, Anu Garg, or visit Anu Garg’s web page.
