2015 Zine Contest

If you’re an adult, or a kid grade 4 or up, the Washington State Library invites you to particpate in the 1st Annual Historical Zine Contest. Using the historic resources available at the Washington State Digital Collections, the Washington State Library, Washington State Archives, or Timberland Libraries, you can combine images and words to make Washington State history come alive. (They’re probably not expecting poetry…wow ’em!)

The deadline is August 31, 2015, and entries will be accepted in four categories: Grades 4-6, Grades 7-9, Grades 10-12, and Adults of all ages. There will also be two zine-making workshops: one at the Olympia Timberland Library on Saturday, July 11, 2-8 pm, and another at the Yelm Timberland Library on Saturday, July 25, 1-4 pm.

See more on the Washington State Library blog, and on the Zine Conest page. Both sites have a link to the downloadable Contest Flyer and Entry Form with all the details.
