If you happen to find yourself in a public waiting room in the city of Grenoble, in the scenic southeast of France, look around. You might just find something to distract you from your phone: a Short Édition story dispenser. A local publishing start-up, Short Édition is working with the town council and the green party mayor to provide free dispensers at eight locations. Users can choose a story based on how much time they have to read: 1, 3 or 5 minutes.
Except for this story in Konbini, the coverage is minimal and all in French, but you can like Short Édition on Facebook and who knows? Maybe they’ll install a poetry dispenser in a waiting room near you!
