yet another poetry walk

About a mile east of beautiful downtown Saxapahaw, North Carolina, the Woodland Banners Poetry Walk combines the visual beauty of the natural woodland with large banner artwork by Steven Durland and poetry by Linda Frye Burnham. Supported by a successful Kickstarter campaign, the two dozen artworks and poems are ekphrastic, inspired by the colors and shapes of particular artists whose names are referenced in the titles.
