On exhibit now through the end of January 2017 at The Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) in Brooklyn is Chow: Making the Chinese American Restaurant. The exibit “celebrates the birth and evolution of Chinese American cuisine, tracing its 170-year history and sparking conversation about food culture, immigration, and what it means to be American.” Along with displays and tastings, Chow includes a continuously operating 1,500-pound fortune cookie machine.
Project Fortune invites you to write and submit goodwill messages, which will be baked into fortune cookies and served to MOFAD visitors. (Gift cans of cookies are also available.) Visit Project Fortune for details, and find more MOFAD on Facebook, Instagram, and @mofad.
