LiTFUSE - Poets Unite

Next Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 7:00pm, Village Books in Bellingham will welcome James Bertolino, Michael Schein, Luther Allen, Carla Shafer and Anita K. Boyle reading from LiTFUSE @10, an anthology of LiTFUSians spanning the full ten years. The reading is free and copies of LiTFUSE @10 will be available for purchase. More on Facebook.

LiTFUSE 2017 will take place in Mighty Tieton, Washington, and registration is already open. Have a look at the lineup of featured poets and register early, especially if you’re interested in taking a workshop (they fill up quickly).

Winter 2014

The Winter edition of Whatcom Magazine is now available (to Bellingham Herald subscribers and on newsstands) and includes Margaret Bikman’s interview with poets James Bertolino and Anita K. Boyle. In “Two Bellingham poets create their works far from the madding crowd,” Boyle and Bertolino talk about their rural Whatcom County property, including their 2000-volume poetry shed.

StringTown is a publisher and a literary journal that brings (primarily) Northwest voices to a wider audience. On Sunday, September 14, 2014, you can hear some of those voices at a reading at Seattle’s Naked City Brewing & Taphouse.

Whatcom Women Words and Works
Please join Jeni Cottrell and the Firehouse Performing Arts Center, 1314 Harris Avenue in Fairhaven (Bellingham, Washington), this evening — Friday, August 22, 2014 — as they host a reception and poetry reading for Whatcom Women Words and Works.

The exhibit, which remains on view at the Firehouse Café through the month of August, features art and poetry by Sheila Sondik, J.I. Kleinberg, Nancy Canyon and Anita K. Boyle.

The reception begins at 6:30pm, the poetry reading (in the performance space) runs 7:15-8:00pm and the reception ends at 8:30pm.
