Mini Lit Fair – tomorrow!

The annual print journal Moss has rounded up literary organizations from across Cascadia to present a marathon of poetry, storytelling, and lyrical cinema, tomorrow, Saturday, February 20, 2021. Featured readers include (among many others) Jess Walter, Shelley Wong, Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya, the Cadence: Video Poetry Festival, plus a panel discussion between publication editors and curators.

Auburn Days

Mid-August means Auburn Days and Auburn Days means Poets on Parade. Coming up next Sunday, August 16, 2015, Poets on Parade will start at 10:00am with a free two-hour workshop, Organizing Your Manuscript from Start to Finish, presented by poet and author Matthew Brouwer.

After a short lunch break, poets take the stage for the remainder of the afternoon, wrapping up at 5:00pm after a two-hour open mic, which includes a contest segment and a non-contest segment. There will also be a book swap, a book drive and a small-press book fair.

Poets in the Park

Poets in the Park is a free poetry picnic, festival and bookfair, open to the public (families welcome).
Poetry readings on three stages / drop-in workshops
open-mic readings / poetry labyrinth / art installations.

Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the outdoor café (coffee, pastries and ice cream).

Bring your poetry books to sell at the bookfair,
with sales facilitated by Parkplace Books.
Sponsored by the Redmond Arts & Culture Commission and the Redmond Association of Spokenword,
directed by Michael Dylan Welch, Redmond poet laureate.
